PERCEPTION

Our nervous system organises itself and parts of our brain regulate the“stream of information“. A selection of impressions and sensory input takes place to protect us from a flood of information and to differentiate essential from unessential. The brain works as a whole.

It's an organ of intergrating regullation and information processing center that enables to get a connection to our environment, what allows us to LEARN. So LEARNING is dependent from the whole function of the brain.

The information is registered by perceptional systems. Some perceptional systems process the same kind of sensory input, some don't. These perceptional systems are constantly shaping(changing) bindings, they form a unity.

Perception, that is impressions and sensations that we receive with our senses from our environment and from ourselves.

With our senses we register countless information and sensory input and lead them to special processing centers in the brain. Perception als refers to endogenousmotoric and movements. We feel how our body posture changes, we know in what positionour body parts are with closed eyes.

Feeling, touching, sensing is perception, just as the realization of conditions of ourselves and space and spatial recognition.

Perception describes acomplex process. From sensory and information input and is forwarded to the further processing in the brain.

Only a part of the information is registrated conciously. Perception results of input from our environment and Body, that affects us or that we create. With this backround, abnormalities in movement of children must be seen and understood in a new way.

Children try to get the sensory input themselves. In early childhood the perceptional functions are the most important aspect for development and learning. Other sectors of development (motoric, cognition, speech, sozialisation, emotionality)also depend on perception, they are strongly bond with it and work together.

Perception, meaning the sense of sensory input enhances movement, therefor influences motor skills, as also the motor skills have influence on the sensory input. The following sketch shows how movement and sensory input is beeing tangent to other sectors.
